Awaken was NCT's first Japanese album, and also the first to not feature Winwin, who was on a hiatus due to his participation in WayV's promotion.
Mark, Taeyong and Jaehyun participated in writing the lyrics to many songs on this album.
Haechan remains sited during the entire MV after fracturing a bone in his leg.
